SCHOOL BOARD MEETING –FCTP Right to MeetBoard Action: · Allowed FCTP to meet at Flagler Palm Coast High School through the summer. · Drafted a policy that requires “political groups” to meet at the County Administration Building unless their number of attendees exceed available space
BILLBOARD UPDATE Members Action: · Voted to change blue background to red with one American flag. FCTP Action: · Contracted to purchase billboard space for August-October located on I-95 between Palm Coast Parkway and State Road 100.
COMMITTEE REPORT - VETTING COMMITTEE Committee Action: · Finalized federal and state candidate questionnaires · Week of June 21: Final candidate list for August 24 Primary Election qualified by Florida Secretary of State will be posted on website · Week of July 19: Candidate response to questionnaires will be posted on the website link “Elections/Candidates” · Week of July 5: Post Amendments to the Florida Constitution and Referendum for the November Election will be posted on website · Member Action: o Approved: Retention of five questions relating to family values on the federal and state questionnaires o Approved: To post on the website: “How they Voted Link” the recent veto by Governor Crist relating to HB 1143 and all future vetoes by a sitting President and Governor.
COMMITTEE REPORT – EVENTS COMMITTEE · Committee Chair acknowledged and thanked volunteers for their commitment to ensure all events including fundraisers like Black Cloud Patriot Sunday, monthly meeting and special events. · Requested members consider volunteering their time to the committee in anticipation of increased membership and bigger events
FINANCIAL REPORTMember Action: · Approved $500.00 expenditure to co-sponsor the July 4th fireworks at the Palm Coast Town Center Central Park. FCTP Action: · Appropriated $4,078.00 for Billboard
NEW BUSINESS Member Action · Approved: A business directory link on the FCTP Website for FCTP members who own local businesses. · Approved: A FCTP 30-minute radio show to be aired Sundays on WNZF upon commitment of six sponsors who contract with the FCTP to cover costs · Approved: Subcommittee members to monitor School Board, County and Municipal meetings and give reports at FCTP monthly meeting relating to FCTP mission and core value concerns · Seeking a free or subsidized bus transportation for FCTP Members and guests to the August 14 Hannity Concert in Orlando Discussion for Future Action · Invitation to Guest Speaker, Rebecca O’Dell Townsend, Attorney, presentation “Our Current Constitutional Crisis” · Increase the 600+ FCTP membership to 1,000+ before August 24 Primary Election
